STLStandbyGenerators.com ("the Utility," "we," "us") is a free lead-referral and information utility. We are not a licensed contractor and do not perform electrical, generator installation, or gas line work. We connect visitors with independent, third-party licensed Master Electrician contractors ("Partners") operating in Missouri.

2. Lead-Referral Disclosure

When you submit a request through this site, your information (name, phone, email, ZIP, project details) is shared with one or more Partner contractors, who may contact you directly to discuss your project and provide a quote. We may receive a referral fee from Partners for connecting you. This does not affect the price you are quoted.

3. Call Recording & Consent (Missouri — One-Party Consent)

Missouri is a one-party consent state under RSMo § 542.402. Calls placed through tracking numbers on this site may be recorded for quality, training, and lead-attribution purposes. By calling a number listed on this site, you acknowledge this practice.

4. Master Electrician Licensing Disclaimer

Standby generator installation, transfer switch wiring, and gas line work should only be performed by a licensed Master Electrician (and, where gas lines are involved, an appropriately licensed plumber/gas fitter) in compliance with local municipal and St. Louis County electrical codes. While we make reasonable efforts to match you with a licensed Master Electrician Partner, we do not independently verify licensure, insurance, or bonding on every job and are not liable for the quality, timeliness, code-compliance, or outcome of any work performed by a Partner. Always verify a contractor's Missouri electrical license and any required municipal permit before signing a contract.

5. Information We Collect & How It's Used

We collect the information you submit via our forms (name, contact info, ZIP, project type, timeline) and standard analytics data (IP, device, referrer). This is used solely to route your request to an appropriate Partner and improve our matching service. We do not sell your data to unrelated third parties.
